The T3i Canon digital camera review from TechCrunch highlights advanced features like HD video recording, top quality image rendering and an excellent selection of lenses. This camera is an obvious choice for Canaon owners looking to upgrade, but for new DSLR users an $800 camera may be a hard sell.
The T3i has an edge over a similar camera from Nikon in due to the fact that it offers a higher megapixel count and better LCD, but the Nikon has the edge in terms of its autofocus capabilities. The T3i features an 18-135 F/3.5-56 kit lens, and it offers optical image stabilization to keep longer exposures crisp. However, this feature is rendered useless in terrible lighting conditions. The Canon lens offers several advantages over the Nikon lens, primarily in terms of its zoom capability.
