The world's smallest digital camera with a zoom lens will be launched by Japanese electronics giant Casio Computer in September, It measures only 79 centimetres uses ceramic lens and is called the Exilim.
It uses world's first transparent ceramic lens within an ultra-slim 2.8x optical zoom lens unit, and CASIO's original EXILIM Engine, an ultra-compact image processing LSI module that enables the camera to achieve high image quality, high speed operation and low power consumption – all within an extremely slim and compact body package. Moreover, it is only 16.7mm thick, and just 14.2mm at the thinnest point. All this makes it the world's smallest digital camera.
The smallest digital camera has an impressively large 2.0" TFT LCD screen and is created entirely of metal.
With the development of the smallest digital camera, CASIO has again proven that it is the leader in ultra-compact cameras that offer astonishingly advanced performance.
